MEDWAY AIRCRAFT PRESERVATION SOCIETY

MAPS is to open a Visitor Centre

MAPS is to open a Visitor Centre in its facilities at Rochester Airport, to cater for the growing public interest in aircraft preservation. The pictures show a new building being manoeuvred into position. When completed, it will have facilities for talks and video presentations to groups of up to about a dozen, a big improvement on its curent visitor facilities. The new develpoment has been made possible by grants, from the Kent Community Foundation Grassroots scheme, which is relieving the company of part of its high overhead burden over the next two years and from Medway Councillors who have funded important new equipment.
An opening date for the Visitor Centre will be announced in due course
