Parts Needed

A list of parts needed to complete the current project is being produced.

All aircraft parts large and small are welcome. MAPSl benefits by being well supported and have many contacts in the restoration industry. The recovery of parts for cleaning, and recording and then re homing with other restorers has as been of benefit not only MAPSl but our aviation heritage as a whole. The method of manufacture and assembly of historic aircraft has not always been preserved.

There is a lot of difference between a left-hand and a right-hand thread when your attempting to dismantle two parts. A damaged relics, excavated or "liberated" part might hold the clue we are looking for. Many of our members are not working visibly in the workshop on the current project but quietly researching, cleaning and recording of found and donated parts.

Documents

Documents are vital in researching aircraft. Special interest magazines pre 1960 are of value, as well as old photographs, service records etc.
